The 22-year-old starlet has been in the news lately mostly due to her latest single “Heart Wants What It Wants,” which she admit is in fact about her on and off boyfriend pop-singer Justin Bieber. Gomez performed the heart wrenching track at the 2014 American Music Awards, and though the performance beautiful it is what happened after words that got fans talking. The former Disney star was caught mouthing something on stage some Jelena supports claimed it to be “Love you Justin” others knowing Selena’s religious belief claimed it to be “Thank you Jesus.” Thus the singer put minds at ease with and Instagram with no caption but the hash-tag “Thank you Jesus.”
During the her live rendition of the song, she received support by many fellow stars even making her longtime friend Taylor Swift shed some tears. However, one person missing from the audience was Justin himself, who rumor has it skipped the AMA in risk of looking like a fool. “At first he wanted to go to the show but then his team convinced him not to go because they said he would look like a fool,” a source claims. “Justin’s team and Pastor Carl Lenz convinced him to skip the American Music Awards and spend time at Hillsong Church in New York City instead. He’s been reminded to spread the gospel rather than dwell in the trappings of Hollywood.”
The sources goes on to state that Justin is upset at Selena for using their relationship as marketing tool and making him out to look like the bad guy. “Justin thinks Selena was exploiting their relationship by being so dramatic on stage and making it seem like he’s the heart breaker in all of this.” These new claims come as somewhat of a surprise since the “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer spoke with Ryan Seacrest, earlier this month, about Bieber’s thoughts on the track. She declares that he himself approved of the song and the music video, “He thought it was beautiful. I think it was really hard.”
